Holiday Camps & Activities

During most school holidays we run and host a number of sports and activity camps at both our SBL Sports Centre and our Wellsway Sports Centre.

We partner with a number of providers such as TT-Tennis, Soccer Shooters and Veritas Gymnastics.

All of the above partners are Ofsted registered and provide safeguarding policies adhering to appropriate guidelines, with professional and qualified coaches.

Below are a list of up and coming holiday activities with venue / dates and links to register:

October Half Term:

Soccer Shooters - Perfect for football lovers aged 5-12 years old, Soccer Shooters have been running Football Funday's with us now for a year and have proved incredibly popular so booking is recommended! They will be back with us on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th October, 8.30am-4.30pm. Visit their website for more details and to book your place.

TT-Tennis - Our new tennis coaching partners will be at SBL during October half term offering a variety of sessions for 5-16 year olds. With us on the Wednesday and Thursday, places will be limited so get yours booked in now!

Veritas Gymnastics - Veritas are back this October half term with their ever popular gymnastics clubs. Veritas will be running Gymnastics classes on the Monday - Thursday for children aged 5+ 9.30-11.30am, and tumbling classes on the Monday and Tuesday 1-2.30pm. Welcome to Veritas Gymnastics

Veritas Gymnastics provides a fun friendly environment for your child to develop physically and socially. Gymnastics is a great sport for all abilities to take part in and helps to improve physical fitness, balance and co-ordination of all ages. Our classes for school aged children are based within Sir Bernard Lovell Sports Centre in Oldland Common.

Our main focus is recreational gymnastics; our program starts for children aged 4 and our classes are suitable for children up to the age of 16. All children have the opportunity to work towards new skills on floor, vault, trampet, beam, bar air track and also have the opportunity to work towards British Gymnastics Badges and Awards. All children work at their own individual pace and emphasis is on personal achievement. Our professional welcoming approach creates a friendly atmosphere for all children to learn whilst having fun.

Bristol Sport Foundation Childrens Badminton

Operating on a weekly basis, our clubs cater for children between the ages of 5 and 16 years old. The sessions are run by fully qualified coaches and provide a mixture of coaching and games for beginners and more experienced players with a strong emphasis on fun.

In May 2018, a Bristol Jets U12 team, made up of three boys and two girls, continued their success from the regional play-offs by winning a bronze medal in the National Finals held at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes. For for the full story, click here.

The Jets coaching team has strong links with the Avon junior county and many of our players go on to the county squad and all are encouraged to play in local tournaments and competitions.

The clubs operate on a termly basis at the following locations:

Friday: 5pm-7pm at SBL Sports Centre, Oldland Common, BS30 8TS
